Set-up Tool Tips & Uses

 
  • With the wheels straight and on level ground, rest the gauge along the tires to verify the wheels are straight. via visual sight there is no gap between the front and back of the front tire while rest against both front and tires.

    Set the fixed end to catch the bead/lip of the rear wheel, then use the slider to catch in the bead / lip of the front wheel. the wheel base should fall with in the 72-3/4” and 73-1/4” slider to be Inex legal.

  • This tool is used to check and adjust the rear end in the legend car. Can be used in conjunction with either the Wheel Base Gauge or the Rear End Center Tool.

    Remove the front fenders and grill. Place the gauge across the frame rails and push the 1” sq tubes against the shock towers. Next if using the bolt on Rear End Center Tool measure from the 1/4” dia pin to the squaring tool sticking out past the tire, repeat for both sides. make required adjustments. If using the Wheel Base Gauge hook the fixed end in the bead / lip of the wheel with the gauge against the tire and measure the distance from the end of the Wheel base gauge to the Squaring tool.

  • These bolt to the rear axel by removing (2) lug nuts and then sliding this tool over the studs and bolting this tool in place. With the counter sunk holes and the counter bored back side it locates the true center of the rear axel. Use this tool with the Rear End Squaring Bar to check and square the rear axel.

  • This tool is used to set and quickly check the ride height on the (4) corners of the car as well as set and verify the left side backing plate distance (6” min) from the left side frame rail.

    The ride heights may not be your exact heights on this but is great for a quick reference or setting a base line.
